Job Requirements:
Master's degree or formal education preferred. BA preferred
Seven to ten years Administrative experience in Risk Avoidance/Advocacy in a health care or related field required.
Registered Nurse in State of New Jersey.
Clinical background required.
Exceptional written and oral skills required.
Proficiency in computer programs such a Excel, Word.
Job Description:
As the Clinical Director this position Implements a program intended to preserve financial resources from a loss associated with patient, employee or visitor injuries, environmental safety issues, property loss or damage and other sources of liability. Assures the rights of patients, physicians and other customers and provides access to a grievance mechanism if there are violations or complaints regarding area of services provided.This position is required to work as an integral part of the Standards and Quality teams.
The Clinical Risk Director requires highly analytical and clinical sills focused on conducting detailed risk assessments. This process involves analyzing documents, statistics, reports and trends, and policies and protocols.
Will need to have the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, produce risk reports, attend meetings and present to committees.
Responsible for the hospital's risk management activities, which include coordinating insurance coverage and risk financing, managing claims against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, administering the risk management program on a day to day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management educational programs, and complying with the Joint Commission's Risk Management Standards, all with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.
